First off...I advocate for adoption. BUT ...if i was ever to buy from a breeder again i would buy from this kennel and this man:

Many people have bought from him and he is a wonderful man and reputabled breeder. He is why puggles became so popular. I am only vouching for the breeder because I wouldn't want anyone who is determined to buy from a breeder to buy from a backyard, not safe, or responsible one. If he sells his kennel I will remove my reccomendation since i don't know about anyone but him.

Everyone who brings forth life has a responsibility to that life whether you have one litter or 100. I have not been to the kennel in question so I can't comment. I will only recommend breeders who I've personally visited so I know their program is honestly stated. My reputation and a clients happiness are on the line when I recommend a breeder too so I am very careful.

While having several dogs doesn't constitute a puppy mill, the care of the dogs should be considered. Where do the dogs live, what are they fed and what care do they receive, where are the puppies born and raised before going to their new home, etc.?

If a breeder rotates several dogs for breeding and raises the pups in the home, I don't consider that a puppy mill. A home breeder can really only raise a few litters per year. Quality home raised pups definitely have the upper edge to those raised in a kennel, no matter how nice the facilities are.

Still adopting a pup is a personal choice so no matter where the dog or pup is found, be it a breeder, shelter, pet store or individual, ask all that you can about that dog or pup's history. The more you know, the better care, training and understanding you can give that dog or pup going forward.
