Medium Young Dog
Duke and Cody are loving 7-month old siblings who are full of puppy energy – eager to explore, learn and just have fun! They are puggles, which is a mix of beagle and pug. These two beautiful lads were recently rescued from a puppy mill, but luckily they don’t show the signs. Duke and Cody's vaccinations are up-to-date and they are neutered. As you can see from their pictures, they are quite a robust pair and would be a wonderful addition to a loving and caring home. Duke and Cody haven’t had the pleasure of a home environment so they still need work on their housetraining. Someone home for most of the day, would be preferred. They would do well in a home with a securely fenced yard. The beagle side of them will want to follow every good scent - so these boys are not good candidates to be off leash. They are not used to children, so we will not consider homes with children under 6. UPDATE - November 11, 2008 : Duke and Cody have come a long way since first coming into our foster care program. Their foster mom says they quickly learned the routines of their foster home. They are housetrained with just an occasional accident. They are sweet, cuddly boys who love to go for walks. They have harnessess that will go with them when they are adopted. They walk well with their harnessess on. They also love playing together in the yard and would do well in a home with a safely fenced yard. They enjoy playing with the other dogs in the foster home and are fine with cats. Please consider these two healthy, handsome boys, you won't be disappointed.
UPDATE - November 24, 2008 : Their foster home has indicated that Duke and Cody are now fully house-trained and they know basic commands such as “sit”, “lie down” and “come”. Leash walking is coming along and due to the beagle side of them still want to follow every good scent - so these boys are not good candidates to be off leash. They love to cuddle with you on the couch and will happily keep you warm when watching tv on these cold nights.
