About petfinder and getting rejected. You can be a single person adopting from a rescue, as long as you can get a letter from your landlord stating you are alowed to have dogs, have a good vet in mind--that you can list, and always try and adopt. most of the rescues will let you adopt if you are serious about doing it. Fill out their applications, get the needed letters, and vet information, and let them see your apartment --see no problem. You must have a plan for what you will do with your dog while at school work etc... always can look up pet walkers and daycare around boston to include on your application as part of your overall plan. Rescues want to let you adopt--they really do. Please adopt all those puggles need homes. NJ is only 4 hours away, CT 2 1/2 from Boston. Indy & his mom are awesome --we trade puggle rescue links all the time. She is really an great advocate for animals. Do not have your puggle shiped if you can avoid it--drive to NY or NJ and pick up much better for the animals and you know your not buying from a puppy mill which in the midwest there are many many many people who breed their dogs over and over to the point of cruelty. My myspace page is: www.myspace.com/kawakiiI post about puggles all the time for adoption if you want add me and see my posts.

Dani--do you mean this wrigley ? search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=8442122He is located in templeton, Ma ...I don't think they'd hold onto him for that long--are you not allowed to have dogs where you are now ? Could he stay with a family member until you can bring him to your new home ? As your move in date gets closer that's when I would start looking seriously---unfourtunately in this country people discard their animals every day--even " designer dogs" it's so sad. Another puggle will pop up if wrigley goes home with someone else. Keeping my finger crossed for you.

Thanks for your information. I did e-mail Bella's owner. Unfortunately, they are looking to send her to a house with children....we don't have a house I will keep looking. I am sure we will find someone when the time is right!

I am sure you will find you furfriend very soon. I'll keep posting about different puggles I run accross. I would make a call about Wrigley though since he is in a foster home--the foster might be willing to keep him till August for you. He's only a baby. Check him out--he's in templton MA. I posted his link a couple posts up. You never know.

So my boyfriend and I have each filled out and officially submitted an application to adopt Wrigley. We offered to pay toward maintenance of him in his current foster home until we are able to take custody. Wish us luck!

It didn't work out. The woman in charge of finding parents for Wrigley said she can't hold him until August, even though we did offer to pay for his maintenance.... very sad....I guess I will have to keep looking. I have an ad on puggle.org, though I haven't heard much...and I really want to adopt. Thanks for the support, I will keep you updated
